ReviewText: Best bang for buck for the A series APU's yet! Performs like a champ and makes me kick myself for shelling out a grand for my 3970X Intel i7. Fraction of the cost and just a slightly noticeable performance difference? Temps stay about 31C with a Corsair H100i. I haven't done any stress testing because when gaming with a dedicated graphics card the dedicated card does most of the work. As far as using it for video performance solo I was underwhelmed, but if you aren't going to use it for anything but standard desktop applications it'll work great!

ReviewText: Pros:Cheap, although it's about 30 dollars cheaper now than when I bought it in 2014.Runs Steam games well.Quad core.Cons:Heat. The stock fan seems to be doing its job, but the computer typically runs about 60 degrees Celsius, more or less. Not as fast as an i7, but probably on par with an i5.Power hungry.OtherThoughts:I've always had budget computers with AMD processors, and this is by far the best one I've had. I'm happy to know that AMD actually makes processors worth using.

ReviewText: BUY THIS CPU!!! Its fast, and the 12 compute cores(4 CPU and 8 VGA) ARE AMAZING.Can use this chip with or without discreet graphic card.Great for online gaming, but if you are a heavy gamer you might want to get an R7 250 graphics card to put with this for dual graphics. This is the same as crossfire, but with just one card. I love this chip!!!!!

ReviewText: Pros:Best integrated graphics, not the best graphics in general, but it does surprise me. I mainly games from Steam's early access, and I get around 30-60 FPS.Cons:AMD seems to be giving up on the current APUs, Youtube gets all glitchy if the graphics are clocked over 800MHz.Doesn't want to overclock past 4.3 GHz.OtherThoughts:I knew AMD products had a reputation for heating up quickly, and thus bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO to go with it. But it turns out, since I am discouraged to overclock the processor, that even the stock cooler would have been fine. I do have a suspicion that the overclocking problems are caused by the power supply itself, I may have to get a new one later on.Here's my build:-Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H Motherboard-AMD A10-7850k APU-Single HyperX Savage 8GB DDR3 2400 RAM-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler-NZXT Source 220 case, black-used Cooler Master 600W power supply-used hard drives

ReviewText: Pros:Great APU. Handles whatever I throw at it, and is very low cost.I can get a 7.4 on the Windows Experience scale. Combined with some 2133mhz RAM, I get a 6.4 for the graphics on the WEI scale. Pretty good for an on-board graphic! If money is no object, then just buy the most expensive i7 CPU and buy the highest price video card Newegg sells. Then call it a day. But if budget does matter, then you cant go wrong with this AMD APU. BUT dont rely on the stock cooler. Get a no fill, self-contained water cooler from Corsair for like $60.Cons:Not much I can think of. I suppose that if you want the absolute fastest chip there is, then go spend quadruple for a high-end i7. The stock cooler woulr be a CON as well I suppose. Go buy a decent water cooling unit. The H60 from Corsair will be less than $70 and you dont have to fill it or anything. Just slap the block on top of the CPU and plug in the fan header.

Great APU

ReviewText: ProsIntegrated GPUPowerfulCheapConsNoneSummaryThis is an amazing processor! In my opinion it is the best part for any budget build. The integrated graphics can be overclocked easily for a huge increase in performance, and are good enough to not need a discrete graphics card. The quad core CPU is more than enough for any modern tasks. If you ever need to improve the performance, buy a hyper 212 evo and overclock away, or add an AMD GPU for crossfire graphics. I would choose this over the intel Pentium G3258 for a budget build every single time since some games cant run on a dual core. The motherboard I bought to go along with this processor didnt allow for GPU overclocking, but I found a workaround by downloading AMD Crossfire.

ReviewText: A nice APU if you have "realistic" expectations about what it is and isn't. It IS a great APU that has enough built in graphic power to power a day to day work, web, email machine and be able to do some "moderate" gaming at lower resolutions and FPS. I ISN'T a high power gaming platform! It will be hit or miss what games and resolutions you will be able to play. Trial and error plus reviews will tell you what works with this APU. I can tell you that this chip really needs the fastest RAM speeds for full performance. IMO 2133 MHz or faster DIMMS. Overall I like where AMD is going with their APU's so we should see even better stuff down the road. For now though the 7850K is the boss.I used this APU in a new build for my daily driver. Used a Fractal Define R4 case, ASUS A88X-PRO motherboard, ADATA XPG V1.0 OC Series 16GB DDR3 2133MHZ memory. I didn't use the stock cooler that came with the chip, I installed a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 evo due to the fact that this is a 95 watt chip and tends to run a bit hotter. My uses are primarily web, streaming HD content, email, light video editing, and recording music. The APU delivers everything I need for that. Easily driving my HP 25bw and 23bw monitors at native resolution.Machine booted up perfectly first time and has run stable with a fresh install of Win 8.1. I was able to use the auto overclocking feature on the ASUS A88X to get an overclock of 4558.0 MHz on the CPU and 960.0 MHz on the GPU with the system remaining stable. IMO If you're looking for an APU build you can't go wrong with this chip.

Another nice effort from AMD

ReviewText: Pros:Fast, inexpensive, low-power.Cons:None.OtherThoughts:I got the A10-7850K to replace my old Phenom II 920 and Radeon HD4850. At that point pretty much anything would have been a major upgrade, and since I was building on a budget I decided to give an APU a try. Ive been extremely happy with it, and even without a standalone video card its running every game I play on full or high settings. Its also been great at backing up my DVD collection. There are faster processors in the CPU-only segment, but this APU offers a great cost-to-benefit ratio.

Great All-Purpose CPU

ReviewText: Pros:Runs everything just fine. But on paper my i7 Intel cup is faster. I cant see any difference when running the same programs on both machine. Both machines loads programs in the same amount of time.Cons:None

Awesome

ReviewText: This is a good CPU. I use it in my gaming rig, and it has always done well on everything. The only downside is the little fan it comes with is not that great at keeping this cool for the higher level stuff. The problem was quickly solved when I switched to a liquid cooling system, but you should probably know you'll want something else to cool it if you are using a lot of games.

Strong CPU, weak little fan...

ReviewText: Pros:With the right mobo, memory, SSD and R9 this thing runs everything on max settings...have a few systems, including a 5930K and Xeon E5 2670, and this is without a doubt the best bang for the buck.Cons:None.OtherThoughts:Buy one, even for a second system, you wont regret it.

Beastly 7850

ReviewText: Pros:Great APU for the price. I bought this because I had a small budget and paired it with a MSI 88x-G45 Mother Board. It runs overclocked at 4.2Ghz no problems.Cons:Wish the on-board graphics were hybrid crossfire compatible with more than just a 240 or 250OtherThoughts:

Awesome APU for price

ReviewText: a wonderful product that allows you to build a all in one system.I have this chip in the ISK 110 case, a case that's pretty much the same size of the ITX mother board, paired with 1 ssd and 1 HDD, 8G of ram. running cool and quite with included 90W PSU no issues.I have reduced the freq to 3.5/3.7 and Vcore to 1.25V from 1.45V, which reduces the max power draw of the process to 60W in order to work with the power/thermal limitations.so basically i am running 2 HDDs, F2A88XN-WIFI, slightly down clocked A10-7850K with less than 80W of total power draw from the wall (which is about 73W giving the efficiency) when testing with future mark (the most power intensive application). i am not sure why would anyone giving out false information about needing a 300W or even 500W PSU when you can run it perfectly with 120W PSU with stock settings (just make sure the 12V can output 8A or more), or in my case, a 90W PSU when slightly down clocked.
